We, too, descend from John & David H. Howry. We are from David E. Howry, brother to your John. David E. Howry, b. 9 Sep 1847 married America Thomas on 3 Jun 1868 in Putnam Co, MO. They had 6 children that we have record of, but dad used to tell of them having had many more but losing some on the wagon trail west -- illness, indians, etc.
America Thomas is the daughter of John L. Thomas and Sussanah Buckworth of Chillicothe, Ross Co, OH. Sussannah's father is Curtis Buckworth, b. DE, and remarried Rachel Bowdle 1835 in OH. We have a photo of them, too.
America's daughter, Floy Eldora Howry, married Frederick Roy Hale may 1914 in Boise. She saved numerous newspaper clippings of all the events in town and those are pasted in the album, too.
America and her daughter Floy Eldora Howry used to travel extensively. They even had a boarding house in California for a time. We have a photo of them with their cousins in Canada, too. We have photos of some that we don't know how they match into the pedigree (i.e. Will & Lora/Lona Howry), and photos of cousins with no names. Would love to correspond and get help and exchange information!
