Hello Loueen
Found some more information on AWH. He was born in Nottingham , educated at Heidelberg in Germany and University College London. He went to Auatralia in 1852 with his father to prospect in the goldfields then later was a drover on his uncle's farm at Cauldfield. In 1861 he was the leader of the search party who found the bodies of the explorers Burke and Wills. He wrote a number of books and papers on anthrapology and geology. He died in 1908 at Metung, Gippsland Australia.
Ed Howitt.
