Hi Jeanne,
I am thrilled to hear from another Howitt! Geneology has been a hobby of mine for awhile. I have quite a bit of information collected on the Howitts - I know that Robert and Margaret Howat (the choice spelling in Scotland) had several children, Andrew, Samuel, Alexander, Elizabeth, Robert Wright, Sarah, Agnes, and Ruth. I know that Samuel settled in New York and Andrew settled in Ohio, but I don't know about the other children. Do you have information about them? We are anxious to know if there are any living relatives still in Scotland. There were messages on this board back in 2000 from Agnes Heddon from Scotia, New York and a Scott Howitt from Cleveland. I tried to email them, but failed to get an answer. Please send me any information you have, and I will do the same. Thanks so much! Cindy Howitt
