I don't have any specific information on living relatives in Scotland... but I'm sure they're there. My husband and I took a trip to Scotland several years back and ended up in Cambeltown - where the wife of Samuel Howitt, Jane Rae, is from and we met people who were happy to help us find relatives.
As I said earlier, Samuel Howitt is my G Grandfather. He and Jane Rae had 9 children - Jeanie Rae, Elizabeth Wright, Samuel, Margaret, Agnes Ross, Robert, Mary, Ruth and Alexander. Jeanie Rae had 3 children - Edward, Agnes and Frederick. Agnes (Hedden) is my mom.
I have a bit of information on the siblings of Samuel Howitt and a bit of information on Samuel's parents and grandparents.
