I'm descended from John G. Howse of Winder, Jackson Co., Georgia.

His son, John H. Howse began to spell the name as House in about 1870-80. His son, Wm Jackson House, moved to Texas, about 1895.

One of my g-g-g-great ancestors was Littleberry Shields, whose daughter or granddaughter, Margaret Shields, married John G. Howse. I thought there might be a connection between Littberry Shields and Littleberry Howse.

In any case, the House and Howse family from Georgia are related. Are you related to the Georgian family?
