Hi, my family may not be connected but, I found that the name Howse is general directly from England, The House is more often found of German descent. As most people will find there are family in Germany that migrated from England and visa-versa. So, I wouldn't rule out family connections. All though my father contended that an Uncle Changed his spelling to House. My double cousin researced in New York and found the oppesite to be true. We are actually House's. We are from the Donald Dean Howse dob. May 3, 1930, clan. Dad was right about one thing we are German descendants. I found a site that claims the Howse clan of England are direct relatives to the MacDonald clan and that they are of royal descent from the Birkshire area. That may exclude my clan as we trace to Germany... So.. far.
