John Blanton Howse was most likely the son of a Lawrence Howse (b. 1730's), as this name appears regularly in his decendants. He settled in Jackson County, Georgia about 1811 and we have found him to have at least two sons, John G. Howse, and Lawrence Howse. John and Lawrence are buried in the Howse family cemetery in Barrow County (then Jackson) Georgia. There is an old grave in the center of the cemetery that family lore says is John B. Howse's grave. Please email me for more information.
