Hello from Hawaii.

My great great great Grandfather was also John Howes born 1755 Aynho, Oxfordshire, England. The lineage is through Andrew born 1810, Joseph born 1837, William born 1876 and my father, William born 1900. Joseph was born in Anyho and emigrated to Canada and then to Rochester NY where my grandfather and father where born and where I was born in 1936. I currently live in Hawaii. I just discovered this link and never knew that some relatives spelled the name "Howse". I have visited Anyho several times and discovered the graves of our uncle Benjamin (born 1824 died 1873) and several members of his family in the village church yard. Most of the grave markers are badly eroded, so I could not find any others going back further than that. I have a partial family tree provided to my Father by James A. Howes of Listowel, Ontario, Canada in 1973. I have not corresponded with James and don't know if he is still alive. He was in the process of updating the Howes family tree and had corresponded with my Father.

Let me know if you would like a copy of what I have.
