Howdy;I am researching a painter named F M Hoyer.He(?) was born in Reading, PA on Oct 5th, 1863.He was a pupil of Prof Donaldson and others of Reading,PA.He exhibited for 30 yrs in western Iowa, Nebraska, and Wyoming.Former home was in Missouri Valley, IA.Since the war(WWI) he has lived in Omaha, NE.He did mostly game painting in pastels and oils..This excert is from a book titled Nebraska Art and Artists, Ed by Clarrisa Bucklin, Lincoln, NE: School of Fine Arts, 1932.The painting that I have is 23 3/4" X 40" and is a secenic titled "Lovers Lane, Dells Wisconsin, '23"They're several people in Omaha today with the last name of Hoyer, but I haven't found anyone who knew the artist.The address that he was at in 1932 was 4216 Poppleton Ave, Omaha, Ne.If you have any information, I would appreciate an e-mail.ThanksSteveIf you have any info on Prof Donaldson I would like that as well.
