I'm looking for info on the Hubbard family who owned a family farm in Villenova, NY from the 1820s onward to at least the 1950s. I have a photocopy of a newspaper article from around 1950 that tells the story of the farm with lots of names and dates. The farm was founded by Norman B. Hubbard (born in Great Barrington, MA in 1794) and his wife Minerva Faulkner. It passed to his son Hiram B. Hubbard and his wife Adelia Chase. Hiram had four sons: Hubert De Lacey, Elvin G., Walter A., and Henry Walter. Hubert took over the family farm in 1887 and it passed on to his son Carleton Elvin, and to his grandson Sheldon Hubert. Sheldon Hubert Hubbard was the current owner at the time of the newspaper article.
My great-grandmother, Mildred Hubbard, was the daughter of Elvin G. Hubbard. So this farm would have been her father's homeplace and the residence of her cousins. I would love to find out if the farm still exists and if there are any Hubbards still in Western New York.
