I'm trying to determine the parents of Josiah HUBBARD b. 10 Aug 1752 d. 7 Aug 1829 both in CT. & md. Mary (Polly) HALE. Their daughter Adah HUBBARD is my ancestor. I believe his father is Josiah HUBBARD b. 10 Aug 1725 in CT. d. 17 Jan 1778. There is another Josiah HUBBARD b. 6 Mar 1732 in CT. d. 1796, whose parents are Ebenezer HUBBARD & Hannah WETMORE & who md. Abigail WETMORE. Several websites ascribe the parents of Josiah (1732) to Josiah (1725), but I can't find any evidence that my Josiah (1725) is the same as Josiah (1732). I seems improbable that Josiah (1725) & his son Josiah (1752) were born on the same day and month in different years. Perhaps the 10 Aug 1725 date for the father is a confusion with the 10 Aug 1752 date for the son, transposing the last two digits of the year. Can anyone provide information about the parents of Josiah HUDBBARD (1752)?
