Clark Hubbard, did he have any descendants? Is he the father of Matthew Hubbard, b abt 1813? b abt 1775, Haddam, died after 1850, probably in Wyoming Co, NY, son of Daniel Hubbard and Eunice Clark, married Ruth Scovill. In his family history Socrates Hubbard writes: "Clark moved to Ohio then the western fronteer and afterwards moved to Chicaugo, Ill. I know nothing of his family he may be still living." I found an 1850 census entry that might be the Clark Hubbard I’m seeking: 1850 Census, New York, Wyoming, Bennington. Clark Hubbard, 75, b CT is enumerated in the household of Matthew Hubbard, 37; Cybil, 48; Clark, 11; Sexton, 9, Ruth, 7. All born NY. Thus we have: Matthew Hubbard, b abt 1813 Cybil [Sibbyl] Hubbard, b abt 1802, Clark Hubbard, b abt 1839 Sexton Hubbard, b abt 1841 Ruth Hubbard, b abt 1843 This family is one I’ve not previously encountered. Anyone have any info? Continuing with this line: 1880 Census, NY, Wyoming, Bennington. Sexton Hubbard, farmer,39, Lovisa, 28, wife, Orace, 9, son, Newton, son, 6/12, b Nov 1879. Same census, next household is: Matthew Hubbard, 66, Sibbyl, 69, wife. 1900 Census, NY, Wyoming, Bennington. Household 139: Orace Hubbard, head, Dec 1871, married 2 yrs, Nellie _, wife, Jan 1871, 29, married 2 yrs, no children. [Orace Hubbard married Libbie Burdick] Household 141: Newton Hubbard, head, Nov 1879, 20, married 3 yrs, Florence, wife, Mar 1880, 20, married 3 yrs, 2 living children, Matthew, son, Sep 1898, 1, Louvisa, dau, Apr 1880, 1/12 Household 143: Sexton Hubbard, head, Mar 1842, 58, married 35 yrs, Louvisa, wife, Oct 1855, 35, married 35 yrs, 2 children 2 living. I suspect that in 1850 Clark Hubbard , wife Ruth Scovill probably deceased, is residing with his son Matthew, Note Matthew has daughter named Ruth. Any info on this line would be appreciated.
