I found this and added it to the memorial I had already made for Emely Hubbard on findagrave. I found her burial in a Jackson Co KS burials. I can not pin down this Jessie Hubbard or who Emely/Emily's husband was. Emely would have been born about 1803. I know of some other Hubbards in Jackson Co.
"An Old Settler Gone. Died, on Monday night, Dec. 28, 1876, Mrs. Hubbard, mother of Jessie Hubbard, of Bill's Creek. Aged about 72 years. Mrs. Hubbard is said to be the first white woman who settled in the Jackson country. The Holton Recorder and Express, December 30, 1875."
