One correction tho, if you don't mind. Jane was married to John McDANIEL not McDonald.I know that the marriage records of Greenbrier Co., VA. refer to him as McDonald, but I assure you that he was a McDaniel.
The surnames McDonald and McDaniel were virtually interchangeable in the Greenbrier Co., VA. court records.If you have the same copy of the Greenbrier Co., VA. court records that I have, you can see quite clearly what I mean by that.
Additionally, John's brothers, James and Henry and several of their sisters were ALL recorded in the Greenbrier Co., VA. marriage records of Rev. Alderson as "McDonald" or "McDonnald" etc., but I can assure you (as someone who has been researching the McDaniel family of Greenbrier/Monroe County, VA., for over 10 years), they were all McDANIEL individuals.
