RESEARCHING HUGUENOT FAMILIES
I've just seen your message and the two in reply and I thought you might like to know that there is a tremendous amount of information about Huguenots on the web, particularly about those who came in the 17th Century to East Kent and then thereafter on to London and the then Colonies in Australia and America.
If you are interested to find out more you might like to look at the Huguenots-Walloons-Europe site at http://www.island.net/~andreav/index.html
This has a 'List' where you can place your email address and read and join in the daily discussion about these Huguenot families. You could make your enquiry about the SWAFFER family there and probably get a very informative answer from one of the other members of the list. Just send the command "subscribe" as the subject line of a blank email to HUGUENOTS-WALLOONS-EUROPE-Dfirstname.lastname@example.org. to do this.
On the GenForum site you can search for individual families. I'll give you mine and you can navigate from there. http://genforum.genealogy.com/tevelein/
Good luck and I hope you have every success.
