Yes charles James Kendall was my grandad and Charles John was my dad. My cousin and I have done alot of our family tree including the Noquets. We knew we had Huguenots in our family long ago through Miss Ellis in Ireland. She found she was related to our cousin Ivy who was her companion/housekeeper. Ivy was Great Aunt Ellen's daughter (grandad's sister). I don't know how Claudia Ellis did her tree. It was in the 1960s before computers. She was gentry so probably got someone to do it for her. I think the link is way back but must be the Noquets. The only way I think she would of found a link would have been her showing Ivy and her saying Noquet was my Grandmothers name. The Kendalls and Noquets were living in East London. A world away from the Ellis family in Gorey, in more ways than one!
Regards Sylvie
