Hack or Heck and Bachellier
Posted by: Jane Frost Date: March 01, 2002 at 05:36:11

I am looking for any information on the above surnames.

HACK was originally HECK and must have been changed some time during the 18th century by a member of the family. Research by my late grandfather strongly suggested that these families were of Huguenot origin.

some information on the line:
Jacob Heck/Hack b.9 Jul 1747 d. 24 Nov 18?6 m. 12 Feb 1778 Susanna Bachellier b.8 Dec 1749 d.1? Mar 1812.
They had 12 children, 6 of whom survived to become adults...

If anyone has any information I would appreciate any leads or suggestions provided. I am happy to share any information I have.
Thankyou, Jane Frost
