Thank you, Alex.

I know that a number of my ancestors originally came from Picardie/Montdidier, France and left in a hurry leaving all their worldly possessions behind. They ended up in Mariendorf, Germany which was supposedly a Huguenot village. In looking at the Australian list of Huguenot surnames, I noticed that none of my ancestors made that list. Thanks for the clarification and advice.
