Hello everybody..... I'm not sure if this will help, but I myself am starting to research my family's history regarding our Huguenot heritage. All I know of at this time (in the Americas, Charleston, South Carolina) is that the branch of my Grandfather's family (In French: Permentier') left France to escape religious persecution. The Permentier family were French Hugenouts. Many Huguenot families came to the low county of South Carolina and North Carolina. There is a plaque in the France Huguenot church in Charleston, South Carolina dated 1600s where the Permentier's and other Huguenot familys donated to the establishment of the church. This is all I know of as for now. I wish you all good fortune with your search and findings!!!!!

Melissa
