Is the surname GOEWEY an alternative spelling for HUIE?

Seeking descendants of Frank [Franklin] J. & Eleanor SHARP[E] GOEWEY m. 1878 with whom to share data and photos.

Their children were:
1) [My note] Edith Goewey b. 1880 m. 1902 Dr. Frank Hecker, and d. 1967.

2) Eleanor Goewey Jordan does not appear to have a birth certificate in 1896 (I looked for Eleanor Goewey). She also does not appear to have a marriage certificate.
[My note: She married Frederick A. JORDAN, my paternal grandfather, in 1917, and they are buried in Blooming Grove Cemetery, Defreetsville, Rensselaer Co., NY.]

3) Mabel Goewey does not have a birth certificate. (These certificates were not required until 1912 so not every one had them). I did find that Mabel C. Goewey died age 67 on September 9, 1953 at the age of 67 in Pokeepsie, [Poughkeepsie] NY, certificate number 55862.

4) [my note] Alice Goewey b. 1883 m. June 1, 1910, Dr. Samuel Saulpaugh, and d. May 4, 1972.

5) Clarence A. Goewey married on August 19, 1919 in Freestville, NY certificate number 28748.
[My note: Clarence A. GOEWEY b. Feb. day? 1893 m. 1919 Julia BORNT [1900-1987], and he d. 1970.]

Also, I do not know if Hattie Goewey died in Gloversville, NY age 90, on 5/5/53 is related to me.

Thank you in advance,
Janice <>
