I'm wondering if your father, James Wesley Garfield Huie, descends from the J W Huie, cabinetmaker, who was born about 1820. A J W Huie lived on the Dyer-Gibson County Line area in West Tennessee circa 1860. I think he removed to the area of Van Buren/ Fort Smith, Arkansas, but am not sure.
His sister, _____ Huie (Mrs. PIERCE) either lived with him after the death of her Pierce husband or left her children to live with him.
I do hope we can connect.
I am 100% certain that Mrs. E K Tucker ("Aunt Nan" Huie) went to live with Huie relatives who had removed to Arkansas.
Yours, M a r s h a H u i e AT a o l . c o m
