Wow. Our family descends from James Huie (17 Feb 1744-03 Apr 1828)who emigrated from Ireland as a child, According to the records, he landed " the Jerseys, which were then East and West Jersey and is now New Jersey...he and Mary Lynn were married; they lived in the Jerseys, Massachusetts and the close of the (Revolutionary) war he moved to (North) Carolina and remained there one year, then moved to Forsyth County, GA, which is now Clayton County." James is my husband's great-great-great-great-grandfather.

James had several children, including one called Robert (1779-1857). James and six generations of his descendants are all buried side by side by side in our family cemetery in Forest Park, Clayton County, GA. Our family has quite extensive records from James Huie forward.

The Robert and Perses you reference must have been James Huie's father and mother who brought him to America when he was a child. How remarkable!

Hope this info is useful. Please let me know if you need more -- we have a LOT.

Judy Stewart Huie
