maybe a romote connection. the people out mostly Indian Hulens picked the mane up from were likely Jacques Hulen to Va or some of those Black Irish/Black Dutch Hulen who were a) marranos form Spaim via Holland to Ireland or b) Hugenots from France to Ireland & Holland who wer maybe Marranos before that. The name Hulen does show in Iberian stuff as a Jewish name. BUt I have not tried that trail yet. But many of ours in Texas from NC are firm in being Black Dutch (& Generally admitting no Indian ancestry no matter how they look, for local historical reasons) which they do not know historically was descendants of "shepardic Jews for Spain in 1492 to the Netherlands. showing in gene pool with contrasting coloring etc. Then again who knows, but makes it fun.
