Hello Vicky,

I am also searching for information on the Hulan family. I believe that I am decendant of this person. This is some of what I have found or what has been told to me: As far as I know, his name was William Henry Hulan born in Tennessee. His wife was Hannah B. Levering. The Leverings were a well-to-do family originally from Pennsylvania. There is a story in our family that Hannah was disowned by the Leverings because of who she married. Their daughter Emma Josephine Hulan Rains is my great great grandmother. I recently found the records of his marriage in Hot Springs in the Texas State Library. Also, my mother has a copy of his Civil War pension records. I probably have some more information but I need to get it all together. Anyway, it would be great if we could share information about our ancestor.
