I find y9our theories very interesting. Please tell me more. I have been trying to trace ancestors that according to family members were "Huguenot Immigrants from France", but I have been unable to find the link to France. I was looking for more info on the Jaques Hulyn that you mentioned. Also, on a suggestion from Dick Hulan, I have started looking into "Melungeons"; very, very interesting. If this is a new term to you, check out this website: http://homepage:rootsweb.com/%7Emtnties/melungeon.html. I am also reading the book "The Melungeons: The Resurrection of a Proud People" by N. Brent Kennedy. I am from a group of Tennessee Hulens that origionated in NC. Apparently, they then traveled to Kentucky and Missouri before returning to Tennessee. I know that after Missouri, the family split up and people went all over the place. I find your posting interesting, because although we are "white" we have olive skin, and some of us have dark hair and eyes--my mom said that it was probably the "dark Irish" part of us that we get our coloring from; she has also mentioned that she thought that we might have some indian or black in us somewhere. I'm not sure, considering how close-mouthed my grandmother is, if I can get any verification of that from any of the family members. I am extremely interested. I hav only been tracking my mom's family for about four years, but it's driving me to find answers. Terri
