Looked in Worldcat. The author is Ray G. Hulburt, name sometimes spelled Hulbert. He published atleast eight books and manuscripts on the family of William Hulbert between 1936 and 1937. None of them exactly match the title I have. Don't think any exactly match the one LDS has either, and it was published about the same time. Some aren't available anywhere, others are available at one each libraries scattered around the country. http://www.worldcat.org/search?q=au%3Ahulburt%2C+ray&fq=&qt=first_page The guy was evidently an osteopath. I've also written a letter to Burton W. Spear of the Passengers of teh Mary and John, who cited this book in two early articles on the Hulbird family. In my experience it can take him a quarter of a year to get around to filling an order for an issue of the Search for the Passengers of teh Mary and John, don't know if he'll even deign to look up that book. He must have found it somewhere where he has access to it, or maybe not. He is located in Toledo, Ohio. I think that your relative's well researched book is the best chance to find what he was talking about, unless your mother's notebook is as thoroughly researched. I would expect her to have less than what I have, unless either she got it out of that book, or she and your relative who wrote the book were in close touch.
