Okay, Linda (and Jim and anyone else); According to what I have, John C Hulen and Sallie Bruton had the following children: David, b. 6 Mar 1825 in Mo; James, b. 25 Jan 1828 in KY; Thomas, b. abt 1830 in KY; C.B., b. abt 1833 in KY; Mary, b. abt 1836 in KY; Sarah (Sallie) b. abt 1838 in KY; Nancy b. abt 1840 in KY; Amanda, b. 1842 in KY; Clay, b. abt 1844 in KY; Narcissus, b. abt 1846 in KY; and Absolam, b. abt 1850 in KY. John Calvin's parents were John Hulen, b. abt 1768 in Wilkes Co NC d. 24 Dec 1804 in Madison, KY and Peggy Taylor (I do not have any further info on her yet). John's parents were William George Hulen, b. 20 Jan 1732 in Bristol Parish, VA, d. bef 25 Oct 1785 in Wilkes Co, NC., and Sarah b. abt 1753. I may have found the French Huguenot connection: There was a Jaques Hulyn(Hulyre) who came on the ship the Mary and Ann to Jamestown, VA in 1700. He brought with him his wife and four children. I still need to verify that this is the correct person, and I need to link William George to him before I will call it definite. As I said, I have a great deal of descendancy info on William George and Sarah, but it is too much to type out here or in an e-mail.
