Hi. My name is Jonathan Barrett Hulen. I'm from Little Rock AR. My dad is Charles Michael Hulen, his father was Charles William Hulen III. Charles William Hulen I was a wood cutter from Illinois who spent most of his life living in the wilderness (logging). His son, my great-grandfather, Charles William II, spent his childhood living in the woods with his father. It was Charles II who migrated to AR. I keep reading about a William Hulen who lived in VA in the 1700's. I can't help but wonder if there's a connection between that William and the reason my family kept the name William in their name for so long - it only stopped with my father, Mike. Anybody have any knowledge of Hulen's from VA moving to IL?
