Possible Hulen Connection - Rowan / Cabarrus / Montgomery Co Area in 1850s?

I'm looking for a information on my connection thru Sarah Hulen, who married Michael Corl (Marriage Bond Date: 4 Sep 1849 Bond #: 000123797 ref North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868, ImageNum: 003963 Rowan County Record #: 01 075) Bondsman: David Weant, Witness: J S Myers.

Michael and Sarah had a daughter named Laura Corl but it appears that Sarah died soon after or during childbirth. Laura may have lived with a Hulen family but little is known of her until she married my great grandfather, Benjamin Kennerly.

Any possible info would be appreciated. I suspect Sarah Hulen was a descendant of the Hulen's in Montgomery County. The Kennerly's had connections there early in the 1800s. Other surnames include Gilmore and Crowell.
