Hi there! I checked again and there is a Samuel Hull living in Union, Ross, Ohio with a son about the right age in 1820. However, he's also there in 1806 (along with John, Ezekiel and William Hull) which makes John's 1818 birth in Maryland a bit puzzling - it's not impossible of course, Samuel could have gone back east and then come back out again but he shows up consistently on census in Ross, Ohio from 1806 until 1840, after which he presumably passed away. I wish some of these old censuses had names of family members!!!
