William L Hull, Colorado

I am looking for any information related to William L. Hull (W.L. Hull) in Rico, Dolores County Colorado. He was invested in the Johnny Bull mine case as a defendant with Anthony Boaro. The case ended up going to the US Supreme Court.

I believe that William Hull is my 4G Grandfather and is originally known as William H. Lanphear. My grandmother related a story from her grandmother of a relative that was involved in a silver mine (Johnny Bull Mine) in Colorado. My grandmother was able to find information out about W.L. Hull and I believe this may be him.

William Lanphear was accused of embezzling money from the county when he was a clerk and may have fled and changed his name as the timing of the mine would coincide with the missing information on William Lanphear.

Any help would be appreciated
