I've hit a brick wall with this Armistead Hume...is this Armistead related to the Armistead born in 1780? I can't find any information or connections to other Humes in the area.
Armistead Hume listed in the 1850 census as living in Culpeper County with his wife Ann/Nancy and nine children: Martha, Sarah, Maria, Mary, Ann E., John W., Lucy M., James M, and Charles T.
His daughter, Sarah Frances Hume was married to Joseph M. Kilby, Oct. 31 1855 in Culpeper County at the family home. she died in 1858. Her sister, Martha, married Joseph M. Kilby August 15 1867 in Fauquier County. Martha and Joseph stayed in Culpeper County until abt 1885 when they moved to North Dakota. He was the overseer at "Auburn" the home formerly owned by John Minor Botts.
Another daughter, Maria Jane married Reuben E. Brown June 11 1867 in Fauquier County. Maria and Reuben settled in Missouri.
