I am also on the lookout for Hume/Humes in Letterkenny, County Donegal. My GG Grandfather, Samuel Humes was born near Letterkenny Ireland, a son of John and Charlotte Hume of Dromore on or about 1826-1832. He was baptized in the local Protestant Church in Letterkenny. I don't have the document in front of me, but I have a letter from the pastor of that church that confirmed his baptism. He came to the US and settled in Phila., Pa. in 1852 or so. Married and went off to join the Union Army the next day. His children's names, to the extent they give some indication of past family names, were Samuel, William, John and Fanny. I don't know if Samuel the father had any siblings.

That's my complete knowledge of the Letterkenny connection and Irish roots. If anyone can tie some of these pieces together with theirs, let me know.

Thanks,

Doug Humes
