Roy G. Fitzgerald was a US Congressman from Dayton, Ohio. I collect letters and have a batch of letters of Roy Fitzgerald. ...main point being: The Congressman had two daughters, one of which married into the hume family. Thomas L. Hume IV was the grandson of Congressman Fitzgerald. In 1947, Congressman Raymond Burke wrote a letter to Thomas. Roy Fitzgerald lobbied Burke for a congressional recommendation of Thomas to the Naval academy.
