I figure this is a long shot, but I curious anyway. Just want to see if there is any other information out there.

My father is Peter Dudley Hume (born in Essex, England about 1925). Now lives in the USA.

His father was Roland Dudley Hume (born (I think in Essex, England) in about 1898 - died Leigh (near Southend, Essex, England in 1972). He worked for some time in the 1930's and 1940's with Imperial Chemical Industries (a very large business like DuPont) and later (1945 onwards) was a General Manager and Director with Foundry Services Ltd, a chemical manufacturing and service business based in Birmingham and London.

My father's maternal grandfather was Arthur Saward (born in Essex, England - died ~1940s or 50s). Was born one of eleven children and once worked for the London Metropolitan Water Board.

My father's paternal grandfather was George Hume (from Scotland - died ~1940s or 50s) who published a trade magazine. He retired and died in Southend, Essex, England.

Thats all I've got...
