Hi Daniel

I'm descended from the Home family through the line that held sway at Blackadder after about 1600. This line in turn descended from the 3rd Baron of Wedderburn

I have 2 nephews in college who have had as much interest in family history as rocks, but were fascinated to learn that we were related to the Homes, and could be related to David Hume the philospher (1711 - 1776)- I don't know at all.

I would like to know whether we do have a link - other than a very indirect one - to David Hume

I suspect that to show this, I'm going to have to find David Hume's family tree and tie it into some known individual on my line
