Andrew Humes in Hampshire Cty VA, 1782
Posted by: Nancy Holmes Simpson (ID *****4454) Date: July 29, 2003 at 00:16:07

A tax list for Hampshire County VA (now WV) in 1782 showed this Andrew, as did a militia list for Hampshire County VA right after the Revolutionary war. He was not listed on the 1784 list, nor was anyone of his surname. He would not, of course, be the well researched Andrew Russell Humes. Anyone have any idea who he was, where he came from or where he went? Thanks
