I am searching for a James Humes who married Sarah Barnes in Illinois Dec.1874. Sarah was my greatgreatgrandmother. This was her second marriage. They lived in Riverton,Illinois. I have very little to go on so would appreciate any info. The 1880 Ill. census has the name listed as Hugnes. But I found a James and Sarah Humes buried at OakHill Cem. in Ill. and I believe this is the right spelling.Sometimes the census writing is hard to read. thank you, M.L.Jones
