I haven't been in the GenForum postings regarding the Hummel line for a long time but today as I was reviewing "what's new" on that surname, I came across your list of posting in which you were inquiring about Frederick Hummel, founder of Hummelstown.
I am also descended from Frederick Hummel, the founder. My descendency comes from his son, David, his grandson, David, and his great-granddaughter, Catherine, who married a Seibert. In turn, a Seibert married a Paxton, and my mother was a Paxton a few generations down that line.Frederick was my 6great grandfather.
I found a lot of information on Rootsweb.com in reference to the Hummels and even provided some of my own information to one who had some extensive postings on the Frederick Hummel line.If you haven't satisfied your search for Hummel roots, you might try searching what Rootsweb has to offer.
I know my posting comes several years after your listings, but thought I would offer a few additional comments for what they are worth.
