Your DNA message is confusing.A DNA test is done on you by taking a cotton swab to your mouth and sending it in to Ancestry.com or whomever you are working with to perform the test.The DNA tests I coordinated were on and for Hungerford males (only).It enabled me to trace back and compare various Hungerford branches to see if we were related.There is another test for females but it doesn't, as I understand it, really do much for surname-focused genealogical research.
