Greetings, fellow surname seekers...while looking for "Huners", I stumbled upon the Hunking name and read this post. I too am related to Mark Hunking thru Francis Winkley, but I think it's more like 6G's for grandparents for me. Francis Winkley was my "anchor ancestor" (my term, mind you) for my membership in the DAR...so perhaps I need to look at "Captain" Mark Hunking as well...??? (for a supplemental Revolutionary ancestor)

Kerry, would love to share family trees to see if we have any closer shared branches. This is thru my mother's side; Cloughs mostly...???

Thanks for your posts!

PS--now that I look at my notes, there were two Francis Winkleys in the lineup; the Francis Winkley that married Martha Hunking is my 6th GGrandfather, and Mark Hunking is my 7th GGrandfather. I do not have any birth/marriage/death dates for the later Francis Winkley, son of Mark Hunking Winkley and Tamson Hayes...might anyone know any of those by chance???

Warmest Regards,

Susan (Green) Clack
