Hello my name is Daniel C Cox and I'm looking for info about the Hunter family of Illinois that moved to Missouri. My Great Grandmother Bessie Hunter Cox would tell me Stories of her dad and her Grandfather owning a Candy store in Illinois and then in the Missouri area I'm thinking Kansas City MO. Her Father's name was William Richard Hunter and he was born in Ashland Cass Illinois,in 1862 and Died in Kansas City MO in 1957. His parents were William Richardson Hunter and Abagail Steelman Corson. William was born in Jacksonville Illinois in 1833 and Died in 1897 in Kansas City Mo. They had 11 children. Where I'm lost is his father was Edward Hunter and he was from South Carolina and was born around 1797 and he died in 1864 in Jacksonville, ILLinois. looking for info about the candy store and info about the family and Edward's Parents and the Hunter Family
