- November 3, 1735, Rev. Samuel Hunter, of Craven County, South Carolina, had a plat for 850 acres along the Pee Dee River.

- April 24, 1739, Rev. Samuel Hunter, of Craven County, South Carolina, had a plat for another 850 acres along the Pee Dee River.

- February 22, 1745, Samuel Hunter received a land grant for 550 acres in Craven County, South Carolina.

- July 1, 1745, Rev. Samuel Hunter had a plat for 559 acres in Craven County, South Carolina, along the Black River.

- March 11, 1752, Samuel Hunter, of Craven County, married Mary Martin, of Colleton County (widow of Moses Martin). Witness was James Hunter and John Troup.

- 1761 Court Action of John Moultrie vs. James Hunter, heir of Samuel Hunter.
