Hello Alison... do you have the family tree listed back another couple of generations ? I am looking for a Hunter female who married a Dinning - probably around the 1830's. The family also had the christian names of Samuel as well as John. My g.grandfather was John Hunter Dinning, and as a stab I'm guessing his grandmother's family name would have been Hunter. (I know his mother's maiden name was Thomas). They came from Derry too. ... Hoping there's a connection !
