Augustus Hitchcock, b. abt 1793, New Lebanon, NY, married Amelia J. Hurlburt, b Feb. 1797, Barrington MA on Aug. 1, 1821.
One web data gives her name as Jerusha Amelia Hurlbut, born Parrington MA, d/o Jonah Hurlbut and Jerusha Shepheard.
A son of Amelia and Augustus, Augustus Stebbins married Spophia S. Lyon and moved to Port Royal Island in Beaufort Co., SC sometime before 1850.
I would like to know more about Amelia and her ancestors. Can anyone share a lead or two?
