Thank you so much for pointing this out! I have been going all over the internet trying to find the source of the "information" that everyone knows about the English ancestry of Thomas Hurlbert/Hulbert/whatever of Wethersfield, CT. Now at least I know to start with the fraudulent books in SLC and see what they say so that I'll know what is NOT true!

Have you had any luck tracing Thomas Hurlbert back to England?

Have you tried checking the parish registers in West Lavington and Bratton?
