Dear Friends,

I am tracking the descendants of Elisha & Chloe (Savage) Hulbert (Hurlbert). They were from Great Barrington, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, and lived in Connecticut before or after living in Massachusetts. The couple were married in 1789, and had eight children. The eldest child was likely Fanny Hulbert, who married John Conner. Fanny's last known address was McArthur Twp., Vinton Co., Ohio in 1880. There was also a daughter Julia, born 1794, who married William Stewart, and died 1823 in Athens County, Ohio. The seventh child of the eight, was Hiram Hulbert, who was born in Berkshire County in 1806, and likely died in Vinton County, Ohio, sometime after 1880. There was also a son William Hulbert, who lived in Athens County, but little is known of him. There were three other children of Elisha and Chloe Hulbert, for whom I do not have names. And finally, there was Myra (aka Mira) Hulbert, b.c1796, who married Charles Stewart (son of Daniel), of Athens County, Ohio, about 1816. Charles Stewart died in 1824, and Myra Hulbert Stewart married 2nd: William Orme in Athens County, Ohio. Myra & William Orme later moved to Vinton County, Ohio, and then by 1860 were living in Linn County, Kansas, where the trail gets cold.

If you are descended from any of these lines, please email or write to me. I would be happy to share information with you. I have been working with John A. Dougherty, of St. Paul, Minnesota, a direct descendant of Myra Hulbert Stewart-Orme for more than a year on these various lines.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Best regards,

Jim Sazevich
