Barbara -- I know nothing about Thomas' parents or what the G might stand for. There seems to be a tradition among the descendents of giving babies the middle name of an ancestor (either their first or last name).Thomas has a grandson named Gordon but I think he was named for a maternal Scottish ancestor not a Husband ancestor.I did receive a reply regarding a Thomas Husband listed on the IGI database, born in Cornwall in 1798.I don't know yet if this is "my" Thomas. The parents were William and Alice. They were married and had some children in Devon before moving to Cornwall where Thomas and other children were born. The children of William and Alice were Elizabeth, William, Robert, John, Alice, Thomas, Joseph, Sarah and Samuel.
