Hi Robert -
I was forgetting to check this forum and only came back today.

John Coonley Hughson lived at Loudonville, Albany County, NY.

I'm still trying to dig through my old files to see if I can find why he was named thus.

There is another connection as well. My records show that Deborah Ann Hughson, (daughter of Nicholas Hughson and Charlotte Duncan, Nicholas being a child by the first wife of George Hughson b. 1776, a Miss Chichester, George being the son of George Thomas Hughson and Susan Van Cott) married about 1850 - John Coonley and they had two children - Lydia and John.

ie. there is certainly a connection between the two families.

I will try to find the other information in my files and be back soon.

Diana
