I am a descendant of Cornelius Huson, b 30 Oct 1772, d 24 Mar 1828, bur in Huson Cemetery. I am descended through another of his children, Thomas, b 1796, m Rhoda Tucker, they were Quakers. Cornelius' father was Thomas Hughson, b 17 Jan 1740, Fredricksburg,NY, d Oct 1776, White Plains, NY. Reportedly, the name was changed from Hughson to Huson after a serious family dispute over whether to join the Revolution or remain Loyalist to England.
